The Fork in the Road

OUR HERO: Joe Conrad, the intrepid Forked Road Traveler!  Retired Army helicopter pilot and robotics officer, teacher, principal, motivational speaker, and government civilian IT service manager. Defender of the Christian faith and hard working government employees everywhere!

THE CHALLENGE: On January 20, 2025, President Trump returned to office and shortly after, he and his DOGE advisor Elon Musk issued a bold challenge to civil servants like Joe. They called it “The Fork in the Road Offer”— a dare to step out of the safety of federal service and prove our value in the “real-world” economy. Joe accepted it! 

THE TARGET: As of March 21, 2025, Joe entered the Deferred Resignation Program. His official resignation date will be September 30th, 2025. Now by October 24th, he needs to have his own business created and earning a paycheck equal to — or greater than — his current government salary, with benefits, or his real boss, his wife will fire him and make him get another “real job”!

THE JOURNEY: This channel is the daily video journal of that journey — one man’s leap into uncertainty to start his own company, earn his freedom, and just maybe… inspire others to do the same.

HIS FATE: Will he succeed? Will he crash and burn? Only time will tell, as his deadline of October 24 looms ever closer!”
